The Maxie Moderne townhome development integrates water saving initiatives throughout the bathrooms, showers, toilets, kitchens and landscaping. Learn more about each of these areas detailed below.
Aquia dual flush toilets by Toto, which have a full flush (1.6 gallons per flush for solid waste) and half flush (0.9 gallons per flush for liquid waste). This WaterSense certified dual flush toilet system uses 30% less water, bringing the average water usage down to 1.1 gallons per flush.
Faucets
The US Department of Energy (DOE) regulates water faucet flow rates to be 2.5 gallons per minute or less. All the bathrooms at the Maxie Moderne development include High efficiency water faucets by Hansgrohe, Moen and Cifial that only use 1.5 gallons per minute. These faucets are WaterSense approved by the EPA.
Generally, products bearing the WaterSense label will:
- Perform as well or better than their less efficient counterparts.
- Be about 20 percent more water-efficient than average products in that category.
- Achieve water efficiency through several technology options.
- Be independently certified.
Showerheads
Long luxurious showers dont have to be water hogs; Hansgrohe Chroma showerheads are installed in secondary bathrooms. These incorporate EcoAIR technology which save 30% more water than conventional showerheads without sacrificing performance.
Kitchen
No more wasting water when your hands are covered in food and being unable to turn off the faucet. The Delta Touch2O kitchen sink faucet which allows you to turn on the water flow with a touch of your skin anywhere on the faucet or handle. The handle stays clean when your hands aren’t.
The kitchens at Maxie Moderne also come equipped with KitchenAid Architects Series II appliances. The high efficiency dishwasher is Energy Star compliant and uses less than 4 gallons per cycle.
Landscaping
Low maintenance landscaping with native plants and trees that require minimal additional water or upkeep. Additionally, rock gardens and gravelscapes accent the landscape pockets that surround the townhomes.
